If you'll use the coached video programs and resistance cables, yes. They turn the my8 into a complete home training station. If you mainly want vibration for warm-ups, strength moves and stretching, the my5 is excellent value.

The pro8 is the commercial version: a larger platform, a wider 25–50Hz frequency range, a 500 lb capacity and a cable extension kit. For a home, the my8 has everything most people need.

The my8 needs a footprint of about 33 x 39 in and stands 59 in tall. At 245 lb it's a permanent installation, so choose its spot carefully and check doorways and stairs on the delivery route. Ask CalmaMovement about inside delivery and installation.

Most low-cost vibration plates simply move up and down or rock side to side, often at lower frequencies, and the vibration tends to weaken away from the center of the plate. They're usually built with budget motors and materials.
