Overview

If you want genuine Power Plate vibration without giving up a corner of the room to a column machine, the MOVE is the model we point most customers to first. At CalmaMovement, we like it because it does almost everything the larger home models do, in a low-profile platform you can slide against a wall or carry to another room when you're finished.

Step on for a warm-up before a run, hold a plank or squat on it to make familiar exercises more demanding, or use the lower settings to wind down after a workout. There's no column, so you have the full surface for floor work, which is why Pilates instructors and small studio owners often ask CalmaMovement about the MOVE.

Features
  • Six intensity settings: choose 30, 35 or 40Hz, each at a low or high amplitude, so you can start gently and build up.
  • Power Plate PrecisionWave™ Technology: the brand's patented multidirectional vibration, the same core system used in its commercial plates.
  • Run it continuously: the timer counts up to nine minutes, or use the remote for quick 30 or 60-second sets.
  • Four large buttons: start, stop, up and down. No menus to learn.
  • Built for real users: supports up to 300 lb and suits light commercial or shared studio use.
  • A finish for every room: Matte Black, Red, Titanium or Woodgrain.

Personal vs MOVE: Which Is Right for You?

Choose the Personal if space is tight or you want a plate you can carry. It weighs 40 lb, stores under a bed, and keeps things simple with one 35Hz frequency at low or high intensity and 30 or 60-second sets.

Choose the MOVE if you'll train on it most days. It has six intensity settings (30, 35 and 40Hz, low or high), runs continuously for up to nine minutes, supports up to 300 lb, comes in four finishes, and carries a longer 3-year hardware warranty.

MOVE or Personal: Which Power Plate Is Right for You?

FAQs

How is the MOVE different from the Personal Power Plate?

The MOVE has six intensity settings and runs continuously for up to nine minutes. The Personal has one set frequency (35Hz) and 30 or 60-second sessions. The MOVE also supports heavier users: 300 lb vs 264 lb.

Can I use the MOVE for Pilates?

Yes. With no column, the whole platform is free for planks, bridges, lunges and other mat-style movements. Power Plate itself recommends the MOVE for Pilates and yoga-based formats.

Will the MOVE fit my space?

Almost certainly. The MOVE measures 30 x 24 in and stands just 9 in high, about the size of a large doormat, and at 85 lb it can be moved between rooms. If you're planning several units for a studio, leave extra floor space around each plate for lunges, planks and stretches. Send CalmaMovement your room size and we'll help you plan the layout.

Is the MOVE suitable for a studio?

Power Plate rates the MOVE for light commercial and shared group use. For a busy gym floor, ask CalmaMovement about the pro5 or pro8.

Why is Power Plate more expensive than cheap vibration plates?

Most low-cost vibration plates simply move up and down or rock side to side, often at lower frequencies, and the vibration tends to weaken away from the center of the plate. They're usually built with budget motors and materials.

Power Plate's patented PrecisionWave™ Technology vibrates in three directions (tri-planar), at precisely controlled frequencies between 25 and 50Hz depending on the model, with consistent vibration across the whole platform. Every Power Plate is built to commercial standards and backed by a manufacturer warranty, which is why gyms, studios and sports teams choose it.
